The works of Heraclitus of Ephesus, c. 535-c.475BC, though in antiquity one of the more well-known Pre-Socratic philosophers, sometimes credited as the father of Stoicism, survive only in what has come to be called the Fragmentsโthe most famous of which is the one about not being able to step in the same river twice.
