I'm sorry--all I can see is squares with numbers. If you want to write to
me by mail, let's arrange that.

Maybe you saw only squares because you don't have the unicode fonts
for the Shavian alphabet, which I use to write Shavian...
I was even making a program for transliterating "roman" Esperanto to
the Shavian alphabet, but had not invested time on it lately.

I second this. Spending a quarter of an hour getting your computer set up to read Shavian properly will be a better use of your time than making marks on processed sheets of dead trees turned into pulp.
Noto Sans has Shavian letters in it. You should download and install it. Since you're almost certainly on Windows, this should be a simple matter of downloading the zip file, double-clicking on it to get to the font file inside, and then clicking on "Install" in the font-preview dialog. Restart your browser and/or mail client and/or computer and then have a second look at the Shavian e-mails. Let us know how it goes.

and then the process of learning which keyboard key represents which symbol
in Shavian
and training the brain to quickly find those keys.
There's more to it thank just 15 mins to download and install a font.
So, I stay with the writing stick and the paper pulp.

My hunch is that it has both Latin letters and Shavian lettersโฆand Windows' font preview doesn't know enough to show the Shavian ones. Install it anyway (you may need to unzip the file to your desktop or your Downloads folder first).

I was going to get to that. Taking pictures* of handwritten pages would still be less hassle than futzing around with stamps and the USPS.
Plus, if you have a font set up, you can receive correspondence from people who'd rather type.
* using a scanner, digital camera, or fancypants phone
