Mine's at https://github.com/adiabatic/adaptor-raptor and I kind of like it because you can run it repeatedly and get the same output without final manual editing, but I'm worried that I'm accidentally going to do things like commit "wind" to the main dictionary as "๐‘ข๐‘ฆ๐‘ฏ๐‘›" and accidentally use that in a phrase that should be output as "๐‘ข๐‘ฒ๐‘ฏ๐‘›-๐‘ฉ๐‘ ๐‘‘๐‘ถ".

Unfortunately, it can't differentiate based on parts of speech or pronunciation. What I end up doing is putting most words in a giant list and try to avoid putting in words that can be pronounced differently depending on parts of speech (say, arithmetic (adj.) vs. arithmetic (n.)). Unfortunately, this doesn't work for words that I didn't even realize have multiple pronunciations; I only recently learned that adult (adj.) and adult (n.) had different pronunciations in contemporary British English.

I distinguish between Orthodox homographs by adding in a secondary, per-work file that has enough context to disambiguate between the usual case (minute ending in -๐‘ฆ๐‘‘) and the special case ("minute delicacy" where "minute" should end in -๐‘ฟ๐‘‘). This is Omnilingual's <https://github.com/adiabatic/adaptor-raptor/blob/master/04.yaml>.

I don't like this. I'm tempted to change it so I can just lightly edit the (presumptively) Markdown source, but I'd need something closer to a Markdown parser instead of a glorified sed script. Also, I haven't found a way to name-dot things in a way I like. Maybe I'm too allergic to source-file edits.

Some years ago (in a previous life !) I met with a lady Pearl Smith who
lived in Sydney, Australia.
I visited her as the result of an article I read in a magazine which was
about Shavian, and her interest in this phonetic script.

I corresponded with her, and other members of her "group" by exchanging
letters in Shavian.

I know she had a Shavian-character-typewriter,
and I know she left it,
and a great deal of correspondence in Shavian from her to others,
and from others to her,
as a "bequeath" to the "Mitchel Library" in Sydney Australia.

When I lost track of the people I corresponded with (in Shavian) I
delivered all my Shavian Correspondence (to and from others) to the
Mitchell Library also, to be put with Pearl Smith's collection. I think I
included a copy of "Androcles and the Lion" also, and I still have a second
copy with me today. I know I included a copy of the magazine article I
refer to above.

I am not sure what significance all the above has, or how much interest it
may be to others, but I offer it now, "just in case".

Regards, Frank
