Okay, here's a quick fix. I've uploaded the new version in the files. I hope that's
better, especially considering how quickly I did it. I haven't really tested the font very
much a small point sizes, so I hope everything else is okay.

Hi Joe

I've only just discovered both of the fonts you've made - Shaw Mono and Shaw
Garamond - they're both exquisite!

Well done. Wish I could do that but I would have no idea where to start.

One thing about Shaw Mono though - it would make the 'err' and 'air'
characters look less 'chunky' if the beginnings of the letters didn't curl
in like the ends do.

Also - the Shaw Garamond 'air' character looks rather unusual. The beginning
is cut off and it seems to start in mid air. Is this intentional?

Do you mind if I host them on my Shavian fonts page?

Recently I had the idea of "Shavian Pen Pals" to make practicing
reading and writing Shavian a little easier. Has this ever been
tried before in this group? I would appreciate any feed back about
this subject.

It's not really as difficult as it may seem.

Yes, that's a good point. I'll have to straighten out the beginnings.

I've noticed that it looks good in some positions and very strange in others. I can
probably fix that by curling the beginning.

I don't mind at all. In fact, it's an honor that you like them enough to want to host

That sounds like a great idea. I personally can't remember ever actually writing
and mailing a letter, but I'm sure there plenty of people here who might prefer it. I
wouldn't mind trying it myself.

And, as a bonus, paper is the one medium we know is universal, despite the
compatibility issues that make it impossible (or at least impractical) to use Shavian
here in the group.

So, If anybody is interested, email me personally for my address.

Pen Pals is a good idea.
If you are not hung up on privacy, you can write in Shavian
at Hugh's Ikonboard at www.shavian.org
You need to download a Shaw font and start up a new post.
You need to register, to start a new Topic.
It may well be that you can reply to an existing topic without logging in.
I can get the conversation going if you wish?
