I don't think there can be pseudo-spellings in Shavian at this point,
inasmuch as usage has not produced normative spellings yet. All spellings
are valid, until the community has accepted normative spellings. Even we, as
small a community as we are, do not agree on normative spellings. Some of us
don't accept "Androcles" as divinely inspired. I am willing to read it and
able to read it, but that's a long way from considering it the normative
Shavian Bible.
Further study of English phonology would probably enlighten this
discussion of spelling. (Hale's voluminous "Phonology of English" is the one
I know best.) Otherwise, we seem to go around and around in circles on
spelling issues. For example, this is our second trip through the discussion
of the "on" problem in this discussion group. I think that many of these
problems can only be resolved through ten years of usage.
I promise that my next posting will be in my own version of Shavian
spelling. Dan
